Arturo Zamora
I’m a Software Engineer and UI/UX Designer based in Costa Rica.
I studied Computer Science at the University of Costa Rica. Since technology has always been one of my passions, choosing this field was an easy decision. I was eager to learn how to create software and how to solve complex problems.
Initially, I expected to gain mostly hard skills like programming and math during my studies. However, I have come to realize that the most valuable lessons were in soft skills such as grit, determination, self-learning, and communication . Most importantly, I learned the significance of high-quality software and its profound impact on our lives.
During these years, I sought out as much real-world experience as possible. I took initial steps towards freelancing, which initially ended in failure. These early attempts taught me valuable lessons and highlighted areas for improvement. While I had a solid foundation, I lacked the necessary know-how and experience.
I realized I needed to level up...
So, I entered the corporate world. Surrounded by people with more knowledge than me, I have spent over seven years honing my software development skills. Working on various projects has taught me to work within time and budget constraints, conduct research to tackle new challenges, and consistently bring value to customers and stakeholders.
